Upon arrival at Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport, transfer to Negombo. Check in hotel and dinner at restaurant.
After breakfast, visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawala. Next to Spice Garden to see different spices and how some of these spices are grown. Lunch at restaurant. Proceed to Kandy – was the last Kingdom of Sri Lanka and the hill capital. Kandy also known as the venue of Annual Perahera, a pageant with over 150 elephants, dance troops etc. Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, uppler lake and Kandy Market. In the evening, witness a cultural dance including fire dancing.
After breakfast, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. Proceed to Nuwara Eliya, known as the ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka. Enroute see the mountains covered with tea bushes and cascading waterfalls. The town is set against a beautiful backdrop of mountains, valleys, waterfalls and tea garden. Nuwara Eliya is one the of coldest places in the island. Lunch at restaurant. Visit tea factory and a plantation to see the tea manufacturing process. Enjoy a freshly brewed cup of “Ceylon Tea’. Dinner at restaurant.
After breakfast, leave for Colombo. Drive through Kithulgala where the Oscar winning movie “Bridge on the River Kwai” was filmed. Lunch at restaurant. Sightseeing of Colombo – visit Buddhist Temple, a Hindu Temple, Pettah, Cinnamon Gardens, the former British Administrative Center and Military Garrison, Sea Street, Goldsmiths quarters in the heart of Pettah, remaining Colonial area, Fort, Galle Face Green, Independence Square, BMICH, replica of the tallest standing Buddha statue at Aukana. Discover the city & explore the shopping malls, such as House of Fashion, Odel, etc. Dinner at restaurant. Transfer to airport for flight departure.
